What are microdermabrasion treatments?

The diamond microdermabrasion tip exfoliates the outer layers of the skin and removes dead skin cells, while gentle suction assists in stimulating the production of new cells in the deeper layers.

A micro treatment results in healthier, fresher skin with enhanced elasticity and texture. Removing the mature cells from the top layer of the skin encourages fresh cells to be produced and pushed to the surface of the dermal layers, resulting in a more youthful appearance.Microdermabrasion for acne is the ideal treatment for anybody wishing to experience a more effective exfoliating facial treatment. Dermabrasion can reduce fine lines and wrinkles, refine enlarged pores, eliminate blackheads and whiteheads, and reduce the appearance of scar tissue and pigmentation.

Microdermabrasion helps to thicken your collagen, which results in a younger looking complexion. Collagen is a protein in your skin that’s abundant when you’re a child and makes skin appear taut and smooth. Collagen production declines as we age, resulting in looser, uneven skin.

For best Microdermabrasion results, a full series of between 6 and 8 treatments is recommended, approximately 10 days apart.

Where are the diamonds in diamond microdermabrasion?

The diamonds are fixed to the microdermabrasion wand which is used to perform the procedure. The small diamonds essentially scrape the surface layers of the skin off leaving fresh and smooth skin. These diamonds aren’t “spitted out” or in the “dust”. The diamonds are embedded (glued) in the tip of the wands used for this form of microdermabrasion. This form of microdermabrasion is cleaner and less risk of leaving crystals in the skin.
