Dermapen (Collagen induction)

What does a dermapen do?

DermaPen is a skin micro-needling treatment also known as collagen induction therapy, can dramatically improve the appearance of your skin’s texture and overall tone. The micro-channels allow for topical skin care products to work better and penetrate more deeply into the skin. During this process the body produces more collagen and elastin, leaving skin brighter, healthier, and more luminous. Micro-needling is used to treat the following:

Fine Lines and Wrinkles
Acne Scars
Stretch Marks

Texture and Tone

The Micro-Needling Pen used is physician-designed to exfoliate while creating microchannels for delivery of serums. The microperforations created during this procedure release growth factors triggering the wound healing process.

During this process the body produces more collagen and elastin leaving skin brighter, healthier, more luminous.

The micro-channels allow for topical skin care products to work better and penetrate more deeply into the skin.

Usually 3-4 treatments are required for optimum results, however immediate improvement in skins smoothness, firmness, hydration can be seen after a single treatment. Downtime is little, if any.

Discomfort at treatment site such as redness and swelling may last up to 2 hours or longer. With longer needle lengths the skin will look sunburned for a day or two with potential pinprick scabbing and will return to normal by day 2 or day 3.
